Students Take a Stand
Brett Rock and Mark Reeves' letter to school committee members
As freshman students at Groton-Dunstable Regional High School in Massachusetts, Brett and Mark address their letter of support for use of Cormier’s work to the school board. They ably and aptly referenced their right to be heard; that students who displayed anti-social behavior did so for many reasons of which reading a book like The Chocolate War is not among, and more; and, they indicate that, for them, the book holds merit.
