Letter from Robert Cormier to Sheila 28 May 1983

Robert Cormier's letter to a seemingly young reader shows his patience and ease responding to student questions about his writing process. In particular he mentions how he blends personal feelings with social realities as the major ingredient of his novels. Students do not often ask Cormier about his process other than his inspiration for a novel’s plot, so this letter is more revealing than most notes to students about Cormier’s writing.
