This newspaper article from The Worcester Telegram, July 3, 1982, draws from an interview with Cormier about The Chocolate War (1974) and censorship. Cormier offers that what gets objectors riled is that “the bad guy wins in the end”. The author of the article combined Cormier and an interview with Studs Terkel (Working, 1974) who was also facing censorship at the same time.
