Tired of Fighting
Letter from Robert Cormier to Ms. Salvador 29 July 1985
In Cormier’s letter to teacher, Ms. Salvador, concerning her ongoing defense of her classroom use of The Chocolate War, he both tells her that he appreciates her efforts to defend the book; that he resents being put in the position to defend at all; and, that he believes in the morality of the book and of students’ ability to grasp and appreciate that point.
